As we embark on a brand-new year filled with possibilities, challenges, and opportunities for growth, the Local Government Academy is delighted to kick off 2024 with a sense of optimism and determination. With the start of every year comes the tradition of setting resolutions – a time-honored practice of reflecting on the past and charting a course for the future.

This is particularly pertinent as we continue the 2023-2024 Newly Elected Officials Course. With new officials comes new perspectives and motivation to continue to improve our communities. Moreover, we are seeing new beginnings at the county level with Sara Innamorato beginning her service as County Executive. These changes provide a blank slate for recommitting ourselves to pursue excellence in local government.
